Asi Cymbal is the President and owner of Cymbal Development.

Mr. Cymbal has over 30 years of experience in real estate development, construction, finance, and law. He has acquired, developed, or constructed more than $1.5 billion in projects.

Cymbal Development has an existing development pipeline of over $2 billion and Mr. Cymbal intends on doubling that over the next 12 months.

On a 2.5 acre waterfront parcel opposite the $1 billion mixed-use Dania Pointe development, Mr. Cymbal is completing construction on Oasis Pointe, a 301-unit multifamily project with a surf club. This development is walking distance from Spirit Airlines’ new corporate headquarters where over 1,000 employees will be based, and is across the street from a Starbucks, a Sprouts Farmers Market and supermarket, and dozens of restaurants and shops.

On a 6 acre waterfront site in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Cymbal plans a $1 billion mixed-use district consisting of residential buildings, retail boutiques, restaurants, offices, and a marina.  That development is being designed by internationally renowned PALMA architects in a manner that will contribute to Fort Lauderdale’s skyline in an architecturally significant way.

On 14 acres in Miami Gardens, Mr. Cymbal is bringing world class architecture to a 341-unit, ground up, garden-style community with a strong emphasis on landscaping and nature.

Mr. Cymbal is also planning an architecturally significant mixed-use project in Wynwood consisting of 203 multifamily units and ground floor retail.

Mr. Cymbal’s project list consists of design41, the tallest mixed-use office and retail complex in the Miami Design District at the time of completion, designed by internationally renowned architect Enrique Norten; its Cymbal HQ in Wynwood, a mixed-use center spanning an acre and a half situated across from Midtown Miami; Downtown by Philippe Starck, a 1.1 million square foot residential project on Wall Street; River Lofts, a $150 million residential development in Tribeca; and Spring, an $80 million residential development in the heart of SOHO.

Mr. Cymbal also has significant food and beverage experience. He has co-created and owned over half a dozen restaurants and clubs in Miami, including Sra. Martinez (with celebrity chef and James Beard award-winner, Michelle Bernstein), Bardot, and gigi.

Mr. Cymbal has been named by the South Florida Business Journal as a Heavy Hitter in Construction and Real Estate Development, a Top 100 Power Leader, and as one of 2013’s People to Watch. He has also appeared on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Cymbal is the Vice Chair and board member of Florida International University’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts - Miami Beach Urban Studios. He is also a board member of Wynwood Norte, the organization that is spearheading the revitalization of north Wynwood. Mr. Cymbal was also a board member of Business for the Arts of Broward.

Mr. Cymbal is a graduate of Vassar College and the UCLA School of Law. He is an experienced real estate and business attorney licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., and is a licensed general contractor in Florida.
