Asi Cymbal is the President and owner of Cymbal Development.
Mr. Cymbal has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, construction, finance, and law. He has acquired, developed, or constructed more than $1 billion in projects.
Mr. Cymbal’s project list consists of design41, the tallest mixed-use office and retail complex in the Miami Design District at the time of completion, designed by internationally renowned architect Enrique Norten; Midtown Center, a mixed-use center spanning an acre and a half situated across from Midtown Miami; Downtown by Philippe Starck, a 1.1 million square foot residential project on Wall Street; River Lofts, a $150 million residential development in Tribeca; and Spring, an $80 million residential development in the heart of SOHO.
On a six-acre waterfront site in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Cymbal plans a $500 million mixed-use complex consisting of residential buildings, retail boutiques, restaurants, and a marina. That project is designed by visionary Bjarke Ingels, whom the Wall Street Journal recently named Innovator of the Year.
Mr. Cymbal also has significant food and beverage experience. He has co-created and been involved in over half a dozen restaurants and clubs in Miami, mostly in order to enhance the value of his real estate assets.
Mr. Cymbal has been named by the South Florida Business Journal as a Heavy Hitter in Construction and Real Estate Development, a Top 100 Power Leader, and as one of 2013’s People to Watch. He has also appeared on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Cymbal sits on the board of Florida International University’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts - Miami Beach Urban Studios, and was a board member of Business for the Arts of Broward.
Mr. Cymbal is a graduate of Vassar College and the UCLA School of Law. He is an experienced real estate and business attorney licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., and is a licensed general contractor and real estate broker in the State of Florida.
