Hector Torres is Vice President for Cymbal Development.

Mr. Torres has developed and constructed over $3 billion in real estate.  He has completed over 15 million square feet of mixed-use real estate projects in South Florida over the last 20 years, including the 67-story high-rise Marquis Residences and Hotel Tempo tower in Miami.

Mr. Torres has run the South Florida construction divisions of many large-scale private, institutional, and publicly held global real estate development companies, including those of Cabi Developers (the largest real estate developer in Mexico), Africa Israel Group (the largest publicly held real estate development company in Israel), and the Faena Group (Argentina’s most fashionable luxury hotel and residential real estate developer).

In 2010, Mr. Torres received the Association of Building Contractors National Trophy for best Major Mixed Use Development for his completion of the $200 million Marquis Residences and Hotel Tempo project in Downtown Miami.

Mr. Torres started his career in Real Estate Development as an apprentice Carpenter for the Local Unions in New York City where he was born. A Major Crossroad in his young Construction Management career led him to choose a perpetual Vocational Educational track toward a comprehensive understanding of the mechanics of Real Estate Development with an emphasis on Risk Mitigation.  Today, Mr. Torres is a Florida Licensed general contractor, surety bond producer, real estate broker and real estate appraiser and Owns and operates multi family, hotel and commercial property.  Mr. Torres also serves the Florida Supreme Court as a Guardian Ad Litem representing the best interest of abused and neglected children in judicial court proceedings as well as an expert witness in Development and Construction litigation matters.
