In South Florida, Mr. Cymbal has acquired, developed, or constructed more than $150 million in projects.
Mr. Cymbal has developed and constructed over 1.5 million square feet and close to $1 billion of mixed-use real estate projects. His project list consists of Midtown Center, a retail center spanning an acre and a half situated across from Midtown Miami; Downtown by Philippe Starck, a 1.1 million square foot residential project on Wall Street; River Lofts, a $150 million residential development in Tribeca; and Spring, an $80 million residential development in the heart of SOHO.
On a six-acre waterfront site in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Cymbal plans a mixed-use complex consisting of residential buildings, retail boutiques, restaurants, and a marina. That project is designed by visionary Bjarke Ingels, whom the Wall Street Journal recently named Innovator of the Year.
In the Miami Design District, Mr. Cymbal is developing a mixed-use office and retail complex designed by internationally renowned architect, Enrique Norten.
Mr. Cymbal is an owner and managing partner of gigi and Bardot, as well as having been an owner and managing partner of the Michelle Bernstein restaurants Sra. Martinez and Crumb on Parchment.
Gigi is a cutting-edge restaurant that was named by Newsweek/Daily Beast as one of the hottest restaurants in the United States. Bardot is Miami’s favorite live music venue and has quickly evolved into the standard-bearer of quality music and performances.
Mr. Cymbal has been named by the South Florida Business Journal as a Heavy Hitter in Construction and Real Estate Development, a Top 100 Power Leader, and as one of 2013’s People to Watch. He has also appeared on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Cymbal is a graduate of Vassar College and the UCLA School of Law. He is an experienced real estate and business attorney licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C., and is a licensed general contractor in the State of Florida.
